William Shakespeare's Twelfth Night Opening on January 5th, 2017
We are offering opportunites for area artists:
Visual Artists interested in painting an original design on a costume for our January production of Twelfth Night – or What You Will by William Shakespeare. (Think artist Delano Brown). Each costume piece that has an original design by a local artist will be for sale, and the artist will receive 60% of the sale.
Costume Builders who have the imagination to take the costumes we have and, along with other pieces we will find, create never-before-seen works of art as fashion for the production. These pieces will be available for sale and the costume builder will receive 60% of the sale.
Found Object Artists have the opportunity to create one or more one-of-a-kind props which will be used in our production. These props will be sold and the artist will receive 60% of the sale of the piece.
Furniture Makers: We are looking for artists who can create specific pieces with lightweight material for the set.
Muralists: The backdrops of our set will be murals which will “create” Illyria – another world. Audiences will have an opportunity to select sections from the murals to purchase.
We are looking for artists who embrace the worlds of magical realism, fantasy, and Tim Burton’s Alice in Wonderland meets Disney’s Alice in Wonderland.
All artists will be included in the program and have a page on our website with a link to theirs.
For more information, or to be considered, e-mail email@example.com with Twelfth Night in the subject line and either a link to your website or jpegs of samples of your work.
