THEATRE ARTS WEST is a new performing and visual arts company with the vision of developing:
- An Equity (professional) Theatre which will develop New Work by both Southern California Playwrights & Women as well as produce award-winning works from New York, Chicago, London and Europe
- An Open Studios for Working Artists to Showcase Their Work
- An Intimate Cabarat Space that Introduces Original Sounds by Area Musicians
We launched with Yasmina Reza's Art on January 23rd, 2013 to a full, enthusiastic house and invite you to become part of making the Dream a Reality.

If you missed TAW's sold out Project 36 at the Merc in Temecula and the sold out first production of Playwrights & Artists II in Fallbrook, and the performance at Europa Village Winery, you still have one more chance to experience ten new artists, ten new playwrights, and the power of Theatre Arts West on stage at the Encinitas library in Encinitas, CA
A reception and gallery showing of the artists' work begins at 7:00 p.m. followed by a performance of the theatre pieces inspired by the art. Meet the playwrights and artists who are creating professional theatre and art which will be drawing tourists from around the world to our community.
We will discuss how to submit your art, music, film, dance, and audition for upcoming projects.

Submission guidelines for female playwrights, visual artists, fimmakers (10 minute films), composers, musicians, and choreographers can be found in our Theatre, Art, and Music menus. Choreographers are under Music as well. We will accept submissions from October 15 - January 15th for plays, March 1st for music, composers, and choreographers, April 1st for film, and May 1st for art. The Women's Project will take place at the Fallbrook School of the Arts in Fallbrook, CA and will include a production of Wendy Wasserstein's The Heidi Chronicles as well as original plays by women playwrights, artists, composers, musicians, choreographers, and workshops designed to empower and grow the success of women in the arts.
